Our Committees
Bauer Honors Relations
In this committee, members will work with the President to continue to develop and maintain relations with the Bauer Honors Alumni Association, and our Bauer Honors Program Advisors. The main function of this committee will be to oversee the Alumni Partnership Program by maintaining communication with BHAA, checking in with BHSAB members about the Mentorship Program, and collaborating with the Bauer Honors Advisors. This committee will be limited to four members.
Marketing
In this committee, members will work together to grow the public image of BHSAB inside and outside of Bauer Honors. Members will have the opportunity to display their creativity and leadership by being the official spokespeople of the board. Tasks will include making classroom announcements, creating event flyers, and assisting with social media accounts. This committee will be limited to four members. Additionally, this committee will be working with every other committee closely to ensure all BHSAB members and the Bauer Honors community are aware of upcoming opportunities.
Fundraising
The main purpose of this committee will be to raise funds for BHSAB in the most effective and on-brand way possible. Members will think of innovative ways to host quality events or fundraisers to accomplish this goal. While exact roles are difficult to pinpoint, committee members will essentially work to finance BHSAB and improve its operations in all respects through improved funding. This committee will be limited to four members.
External Relations
This committee will focus on the process of finding companies to work with, creation of events, running the corporate events, and staying engaged with BHSAB members on student sentiment towards these events. Again, while exact roles may be difficult to pinpoint you will work with the officer, fellow board members, and listen to Bauer Honors students to help supply the business program with the best corporate events possible! This committee will be limited to four members.
Community Engagement
This committee is a very collaborative group that works together to come up with creative ways to get Bauer Honors more involved in the community. Traditionally BHSAB would volunteer at certain events in the Houston area, however, recently there have been exciting, innovative ideas to demonstrate the board’s dedication to community service. This committee will be limited to five members.
Social
This committee has the focus of creating engaging events for board members or all Bauer Honors students with the goal of increasing the ‘community atmosphere’ amongst those in attendance. Committee members may have dynamic roles depending on what events are in the works, but will have the opportunity to create, develop, and lead these events. This committee will be limited to four members.
